Charitable Tax Credit
The State of Arizona offers you an annual Charitable Tax Credit. It’s different than a typical tax deduction – it gives you the power to tell the Arizona Legislature exactly how you’d like your tax dollars spent.
Your deduction will:
Help provide critical shelter and housing services to more than 4,300 homeless families and single women.
Help at-risk youth create a brighter future.
Reduce the average length of stay for families and women in emergency shelter.
Help end homelessness for families, women and youth.
You may contribute up to $400 per year for an individual, up to $800 per year for a married couple filing jointly. You may take the credit when you file your annual tax returns, usually on or near the general tax filing date of April 15.
The Arizona Department of Revenue (ADOR) offers and excellent Q & A on the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Law (ARS 43-1088) that will give you even more information about how the tax credit works. You can also call ADOR’s Taxpayer Assistance hotline at 602-255-3381 or 800-352-4090.
If you prefer to mail your contribution, please make your check payable to UMOM New Day Centers and send it to:
